United Airlines teamed up with Miller Creative to roll out several VR training simulations. Besides these simulations, I was also tasked with creating iPad apps (dashboards) for United instructors to use during the VR sessions.
Training in today's fast-paced world can be quite a challenge. Traditional methods often miss the mark in terms of engagement and interactivity, leading to poor retention and skill application. Key issues to tackle included making sure users stayed engaged, designing an intuitive interface, implementing solid analytics and reporting, creating a scalable solution, and ensuring smooth integration with existing learning management systems (LMS) and other tools.
I proposed a user-friendly VR Training Dashboard that leverages virtual reality tech to offer dynamic and interactive training simulations. This dashboard aimed to enhance the training experience by providing real-time data on overall training, individual user reports, and allowing instructors to inspect VR sessions and guide users effectively. By improving user engagement, usability, performance tracking, scalability, and integration, the VR Training Dashboard aimed to revolutionize corporate training, improving learning outcomes, skill retention, and organizational success.
The dashboard's user-friendly design and real-time data capabilities made it easier for instructors to guide trainees through VR sessions, leading to better engagement and skill retention. The seamless integration with existing systems ensured a smooth transition, making corporate training more effective and enjoyable.
